Mania turns 13!

It's been a while since I mentioned anything about my film Mania that launched in 2008, so I thought I would catch you all up on it. After a 3 year run on Comcast Sports Net and sales of the film through various outlets, the film succombed to attention drawn away to promote other projects like (it's prequal of sorts) Kings of the Road and Figaro!. The events that took place during production and the second job of promoting it stick with me as filmmaker and the very small crew have gone on to new and very successful projects and roles. Then the material and new interviews were used in Ripcity Stories which was also shown on Comcast Sports Net and also ran for 3 years to high ratings with up to 2 million views per screening! So much has changed from using tape in the camera to digital cards. I remember taking the large camera through customs to Poland for the filming of Figaro and how cumbersome it was to travel. Taking the camera bag apart at Heathrow was quite an experience! Now you could do it all on your phone! Also, many interviewee's have tragically passed over the years such as Stu Inman, Kevin Duckworth and the legendary founder of the Trailblazer, Harry Glickman who made everything possible! I feel very fortunate that I was able to preserve the stories they were able to tell in the form of Mania!
